Black Pearl is the product of Stage Stop Handel (our first llama) and Stage Stop Minnie Pearl (one of our first females). He is a very sweet boy who loves to give kisses. He has silky deep chocolate brown/black fiber. We started halter training him when he was weaned and he did amazing his first time on the lead. After leaving him tied up to a bungee lead for about 10 minutes, I untied the lead and led him straight up to the Little Boy Pasture. He followed me on a loose lead like he had been doing it for years! His Dam always produces crias with very sweet and laid back personalities that are easy to handle and train. Black Pearl is no exception. Handel is a Grand Champion and a Regional Champion and Minnie Pearl was shown as a juvenile and took Reserve Grand Champion in her first show. Black Pearl has great potential as a performance llama or would make a fabulous companion.
